Spider-Man: Brand New Day is breaking box office records and giving the Marvel Cinematic Universe a much-needed boost. Considering MCU films still tend to be among the biggest of their respective years, it’s hard to argue that they were doomed. However, they’ve arguably lost some of the cultural dominance they once had. But now, the box-office success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the excitement around the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, and all the news that came out of San Diego Comic-Con make the Marvel brand feel stronger than it has since 2019.
