In 2022, MCU and Stranger Things star David Harbour added his name to a long legacy of actors to take on the role of Santa Claus in Violent Night, one of the most unique Christmas movies ever made. Directed by Tommy Wirkola, this movie allowed Harbour to take on the role of a cynical and hard-drinking Santa, who was tasked with rescuing a wealthy family held hostage by mercenaries on Christmas Eve. Burnt out by modern commercialism and materialism, he teams up with a young girl who still believes in him, diving into his history as a Nordic warrior and slaughtering a team of mercenaries before taking out John Leguizamo’s Mr. Scrooge and barely surviving the ordeal.
