At San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026, Marvel announced that Ryan Gosling will play Ghost Rider in a new standalone movie. The announcement adds to a hot streak for Gosling, with Project Hail Mary emerging as one of 2026’s bigger theatrical hits and Star Wars: Starfighter currently set for a 2027 release. The slight twist in all that is that Gosling has already taken a swing at this kind of sci-fi spectacle before, arguably better than anyone gave him credit for at the time. Now that film is about to become very easy to find again.
