With the successful release of Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg once again proved why he’s among the definitive authorities on science fiction movies. Although the alien visitation yarn may not live up to the filmmaker’s all-time great sci-fi entries like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and Jurassic Park, it fits squarely within Spielberg’s more underrated genre fare, such as Minority Report, War of the Worlds, and Ready Player One.
