The first full-length trailer for Avengers: Doomsday was released online, along with the announcement that tickets are now on sale for the major blockbuster. Marvel Studios has struggled in recent years to form a cohesive overarching narrative the replicates the success of the way the Infinity Saga connected all of its installments. The original plan of having Kang the Conqueror as the next big villain of the franchise was soon undone by allegations involving Jonathan Majors, forcing a last-minute shift that culminated in Joe and Anthony Russo returning to direct the next two Avengers films, as well as bringing Robert Downey Jr. back, only this time as the villain Doctor Doom.
