Warning: HUGE spoilers ahead for Star City Season 1, Episode 8, “The Wolves.”Apple TV’s Star City is tense throughout its inaugural outing, but the Season 1 finale, “The Wolves,” upgrades the tension from uneasy eye contact and harsh capital punishment, throwing in more than a healthy dose of adrenaline-fueled action sequences as well. That being said, the show’s more traditional use of tension-building techniques also remains firmly intact. “The Wolves” strays ever further from the mostly feel-good optimism of parent series For All Mankind, although Star City was never all that upbeat in the first place. It was never supposed to be.
