2026 will see the release of Avengers: Doomsday, the penultimate film in the Multiverse Saga that will pit various heroes from Marvel’s Multiverse against Marvel Comics’ greatest villain, Doctor Doom. However, most fans are aware that this was not the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s original plan. The original overarching villain for the Multiverse Saga was intended to be Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. Marvel Studios first seeded Kang’s introduction in Loki Season 1 before having the character make his full debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, before becoming the main villain in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
