Although viewers have had to wait two years to move past House of the Dragon’s anticlimactic Season 2 finale, the upcoming third chapter promises to compensate by setting up a wicked new storyline. Indeed, rather than delivering a high-stakes dragon battle as most anticipated to end Season 2, “The Queen Who Ever Was” was more interested in laying the foundation for the next riveting storyline to take shape. Fortunately, the epic Battle of Gullet has been reserved to increase the dramatic stakes in Season 3.
