The Dexter franchise aired its first episode in October 2006, meaning it’s been almost two decades since the crime thriller saga began. When a story runs for that long, it’s uncommon for fans to keep watching with the same level of fervor. Not only has Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan remained a sought-after antihero, but franchise overseer Clyde Phillips hasn’t allowed the quality to drop. Not permanently, at least.
