I have always been fascinated by storytelling and by how many movies we know and love can be traced back to The Odyssey, Shakespeare, and more modern masterpieces. Indeed, even the original Star Wars was inspired by a classic movie, as George Lucas drew on Akira Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress to shape it. The truth is that, as much as we see storytelling as a continual progression, many of the most beloved stories have been told time and time again. They differ from the original while maintaining their fundamental core.
